Last week I went to visit my dear friend, Rachel, who moved to North Carolina last year after she got married. A year ago I was on my mission and missed going to her wedding, so after 2 years of not seeing each other I made a trip out to visit her and her family! That's right, it is more than just her and her husband...they had a baby!!! Maria Lucia is such a doll and I just couldn't get enough of her.
It is always so fun to get together with friends and catch up as if you never missed a day without each other. Rachel and I met our freshman year of high school and have been friend ever since. We have so many memories together and we just keep making more and more as the years go by.
Rachel, Fernando, & Lucia...Thanks for an amazing week!!!
Walks. Shopping (of course!). Q Shack. Duke. Chic-fil-a. Cheesecake Factory.
Also, when I was out in North Carolina I found out that a family friend, Liz Beach, lives there, so I made a stop to see her and meet her little girl Emilia. It is crazy and so fun to see where life takes everyone and all the adventures that come with that.
Not only did I get to catch up with friends in North Carolina, but I was able to in Utah on my way back up to Idaho. I was able to get a hold of Aubrey and Kyla! The last time I saw them I was on my mission so this time around we could really catch up with each others lives. Things never change between us, but we all did grow up a little...other than that it was like we were back in middle school or high school hanging out again.
I didn't get a pictures of me with Aubrey and Kyla, but here is a little something. Kyla had baby Hunter about 6 weeks ago, and she snapped a picture (just before he decided to leak through his diaper on me, oops!). I guess that's what I get for holding a baby.
After 2 weeks of vacation in Canada, North Carolina, and Utah, I am so happy to be home! Traveling and seeing friends is great, but I love being home and back in my "element".
I'm back in Idaho and working for the rest of this break before schools starts again.
Let's bring on the fun and enjoy this time with nothing to do...other than work, but that can be pretty fun :)
