Time to play Catch Up!!!

I'm finally starting to see the end of the tunnel with this summer semester.  It has been insane with all the credits I have been taking but the learning has been worth it in more ways than one.  I absolutely love that I am studying Elementary Education and can't wait to go apply all that I am learning to my future career, when I will one day be the a great teacher!

There is only ONE WEEK left of this semester and I still have quite the list of things to finish before then.  At least its one week, much better than one day! I can do this...
Well, here is what you have all been waiting for.
4th of July
Parades, BBQ's, picnics, walks around the river, friends, and fireworks!
This is and always will be one of my favorite holidays.  I was lucky enough to go to the Ashton parade with my roommate Mikayla and all of her family.  What a parade! Being in Idaho you never know what you will see, but you can always count on seeing plenty of tractors and tons of candy! This parade was so great (and small), that it went through not only once, but Twice! It was hilarious and I loved every minute of it...especially when we all died laughing to see the Old Western Man not wearing any pants the second time around.  (don't worry, I got a picture for all to see)

After the parade we headed back to Rexburg to have a fun BBQ with Mikayla's family.  Have I ever expressed how grateful I am for being "adopted" into the family, because I am SO extremely grateful to have them all in my life.  Getting to play with the kiddos for a little bit to made it all worth it.  Slip-n-slide and swimming doesn't happen too ofter here, so when everything was all set up, the kids were jumping in and doing everything they could to be in the water.  Mikayla and I even went to stand in the pool for a little bit to enjoy it, while I was also helping some of the little buckaroo's with their swimming.  All until the big kids saw us and decided they would come in and soak us much more than we wanted.  Oh well, it was still Fun.

Then the time came that we headed to Idaho Falls to get camped out for the best fireworks east of the Mississippi.  And what an event.  There were even some people (you know who you are) that brought couches and staked out their spots the night before to get the best seating, and comfy seating at that.  With a fun stroll around the river too, we got some yummy kettle corn, super cute bracelets, and saw all sorts of crafts and talents other people were showing off.  Then the show finally began and it was a great one. I didn't get too many pictures but trust me, they were incredible!
I'm so grateful for this free land that we live in, and especially grateful for all those that have stepped up to serve our country and continue providing this freedom.  I guess I can sum it up and say...
I'm Proud to Be an American!

Now there isn't too much to say about this, other than I DID IT!!!
For quite some time I have been wanting to run a half-marathon, and/or a full marathon, so a few months back my good friend Ryan talked me into doing one with him.  I'm glad he did.  The training that most people do for half-marathons, yeah, I didn't really have too much time for that.  With school, and soccer, and work I didn't do all the training I had hoped to do.  At least I was playing soccer and going to the gym a few times a week so that helped.
Overall, I FINISHED, along with random cramping in my toes and super sore calves.  It was totally worth it & I can't wait to do another one, and really be ready for it.

Now the roller coaster portion of my life is still going on, but I'll catch you up on that soon enough too.
